This course expands the study of language and continues to build a greater appreciation of good literature. All literary genres are covered together with an exploration of mythology and selected examples of world literature. Reading of supplementary novels and plays is required. An emphasis will be placed on writing, speaking, and research elements. Therefore, students will thematically study, analyze, interpret, & critique various genres of literature and other media based on the historical and cultural context of the author and his/her culture.
